This specialized filter set is engineered for fluorophores that are excited by deep red light and emit in the near-infrared (NIR) spectral region. This configuration is highly effective for imaging probes with long-wavelength emission, providing minimal autofluorescence and deep tissue penetration potential. It is an excellent choice for DNA and nucleic acid stains and other dyes optimized for NIR detection.

Filter Specifications:

  • Excitation Filter (Ex): Bandpass 620/60 nm (transmits light from 590 nm to 650 nm)
  • Emission Filter (Em): Bandpass 700/75 nm (transmits light from 662.5 nm to 737.5 nm)
  • Dichroic Mirror (DM): Reflects 590-650 nm / Transmits 665-735 nm

Intended for use with common deep red/NIR emitting fluorophores such as:

  • Nucleic acid stains with Ex ≈ 642 nm and Em ≈ 661 nm (e.g., DNA/RNA probes)
  • Cyanine dyes with excitation in the 630-650 nm range and emission beyond 660 nm
  • Red-shifted protein labels and far-red probes
