View full detailsThis specialized filter set is engineered for fluorophores that are excited by violet light and emit light in the blue spectral region (around 460 nm). The configuration uses a narrow excitation band centered slightly below the 405 nm laser line, combined with a broad blue emission band. This design provides high specificity for imaging certain blue-fluorescent organelle probes, such as those that localize to acidic compartments, and other fluorescent dyes with emission peaks near 460 nm.
Filter Specifications:
- Excitation Filter (Ex): Bandpass 395/25 nm (transmits light from 382.5 nm to 407.5 nm)
- Emission Filter (Em): Bandpass 460/50 nm (transmits light from 435 nm to 485 nm)
- Dichroic Mirror (DM): Reflects 350-410 nm / Transmits 430-550 nm
Intended for use with common violet-excited, blue-emitting fluorophores such as:
- Organelle Stains and blue-emitting probes (e.g., probes with Ex approx 398 nm, Em approx 440 nm)
- Blue Fluorescent Proteins (BFPs) and similar short-wavelength variants
- Spectrally similar blue dyes optimized for the violet laser line
