Filter Sizing

If you purchased along with filter cube, the filters (Ex, Em, Dic) will be cut to the size can be fitted into the filter cube.

If only the Filters are purchased, it will coming with below sizes by default:

Filter Cube Installation

This filter set is highly optimized for fluorophores that are excited by yellow-green light (e.g., the 532 nm or 543 nm laser lines) and emit light broadly in the orange-red spectral region (around 605 nm). The configuration uses a narrow excitation band coupled with a very wide emission band to efficiently capture the significantly red-shifted signal. This design is excellent for applications requiring bright signals in the orange-red range, such as immunohistochemistry, FISH, and flow cytometry, utilizing fluorescent dyes and probes that fluoresce in the 570-640 nm range.

Filter Specifications:

  • Excitation Filter (Ex): Bandpass 545/25 nm (transmits light from 532.5 nm to 557.5 nm)
  • Emission Filter (Em): Bandpass 605/70 nm (transmits light from 570 nm to 640 nm)
  • Dichroic Mirror (DM): Reflects 450-550 nm / Transmits 570-700 nm

Intended for use with common yellow-green-excited, orange-red-emitting fluorophores such as:

  • Orange-red fluorescent probes (e.g., probes with Ex approx 550 nm, Em approx 570 nm)
  • Rhodamine derivatives and similar dyes with excitation peaks near 545 nm
  • Red Fluorescent Proteins (RFPs) and spectrally similar reporters
