  • Cutoff Wavelength (Cutoff)

    The cutoff wavelength for a shortpass filter is the wavelength at which the filter's transmission drops to 50% of its peak value.

    In simpler terms, it's the point where the filter starts to block longer wavelengths while allowing shorter wavelengths to pass through.
