Machine Vision:Wavelength Separation

  • Wavelength Separation with Filter

Compares the effects of using a 532nm LED directly versus using a 532nm LED with a BP532 filter.

    Left Side (Without Filter):

A 532nm LED emits green light directly. This light may contain some other wavelengths, leading to a less pure color output. Also this is more costly to setup.

    Right Side (With Filter):

A 532nm LED is used in conjunction with a BP532 filter.
The BP532 filter is designed to specifically transmit light at a wavelength of 532nm, effectively blocking other wavelengths.
This results in a purer green light output with a narrower spectral bandwidth.
