Brief
This master's thesis investigates the out-of-band damage characteristics of bandpass filters, specifically BP420 and BP905, used in UAV imaging systems when irradiated by a 1064 nm narrow-pulse laser, analyzing the influence of incident angle through theoretical modeling and experimental studies to support anti-UAV technology.
Summary
This master's thesis investigates the out-of-band laser damage characteristics of BP420 and BP905 bandpass filters, which are used in UAV imaging systems, when subjected to a 1064 nm nanosecond pulsed laser. The study combines theoretical modeling based on Maxwell's equations and thermodynamics with experimental testing using the 1-on-1 method to analyze how the incident angle of the laser affects the laser damage threshold and damage patterns of these filters. Key findings indicate that damage primarily originates in the Ti3O5 layer due to its higher absorption, and that stress-induced rupture precedes melting damage. Furthermore, the laser damage threshold varies with the incident angle, showing different trends for the BP420 and BP905 filters due to their distinct film structures and resulting standing wave field distributions. This research aims to provide theoretical and technical support for anti-UAV technology.
