1. Eligible Products
Stocked (catalog) products with a unit price under USD 500 are eligible for return within 14 days after delivery.
Custom-made or non-stock items are not eligible for no-reason returns.
2. No-Reason Return (Buyer’s Remorse)
If you wish to return an item for reasons other than product defect or seller error:
- Please email shop@syronoptics.com to request a return authorization and return address.
- Buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs.
- Items must be unused, in original condition, and with original packaging.
- Refund will be issued after inspection of the returned item.
3. Seller’s Fault (Defective / Wrong / Damaged Item)
If the return is due to seller error (defective product, wrong item shipped, or damage during shipping):
Please provide clear evidence (photos or videos) showing the issue.
We will evaluate the case and either:
- Provide a replacement, or
Issue a refund (with or without requiring the item to be returned). - Return shipping cost will be covered by the seller in confirmed seller-fault cases.

- Returned items are subject to inspection before refund approval.
- Shipping fees, customs duties, and taxes are non-refundable unless the return is due to seller fault.

Our company was looking for a filter, which is capable to couple Deep UV light to the optical system. Our initial choice was Torrent Photonics 102244543. This filter transmittance characteristics shows that almost no DUV light should pass through it (see spectrum attached). We've inquired Torrent if DUV light is absorbed or reflected by this filter. We were assured DUV light will be reflected. We've bought and tested this filter. Unfortunately, half of DUV light from our 266 nm illuminator was absorbed by the filter and only half was reflected. This wasn't acceptable for our application. (Yes, Torrent returned us money for the product.)
Fortunately, we had already business with Syron Optics and enjoyed great products, they offer. In Syron Optics catalogue we've found SO3060401 filter, which had similar characteristics in DUV region (see attached). We've asked Syron Optics the same question: is this filter absorbing DUV light or reflecting it? The answer was: take it, test it, and if it works - pay for it. We really liked this approach.
So, we've got the filter without paying for it and tested it. At 266 nm and AOI=45 degrees it reflected almost all light sideways. This was what we need.
We are happy to get this filter for our new product development. We are extremely satisfied with how Syron Optics treats us as a customer.
