Polarizer Filters for Glare Reduction

To eliminate these reflections and capture a clear image, you should follow a "dual-polarization" approach:

  1. Polarize the Light Source: Place a polarizing film over your lamps or LEDs. This ensures that the light hitting the object is already vibrating in a specific direction.
  2. Polarize the Lens: Mount a polarizing filter (CPL or Linear) onto your camera lens.
  3. Cross the Polarization: While looking at your image preview, slowly rotate the lens filter. As the filter reaches a 90° angle relative to the light's polarization (known as cross-polarization), the glare will vanish, revealing the true color and texture of the surface beneath.
