Reduce Background Noise in Machine Vision

Different Light source used in Machine Vision Inspection

  • Red Light (630 nm – 660 nm): General purpose, high contrast for dark features on light backgrounds, best for standard silicon sensors.
  • Blue Light (450 nm – 470 nm): Ideal for enhancing contrast of yellow/orange objects and for detecting fluorescence.
  • Green Light (520 nm – 530 nm): Used to enhance contrast for red, magenta, or blue objects and metallic inspection.
  • White Light (Full Visible Spectrum): Used for true-color inspection, high-intensity strobing, and general purpose tasks.
  • Near-Infrared (NIR) Light (850 nm – 940 nm): Used for covert illumination and seeing through translucent materials for material analysis.
  • UV Light (Ultraviolet, below 400 nm): Used for activating fluorescence in security features and checking tamper-proof markings.
