This BP393-2 bandpass filter is designed to transmit an extremely narrow near-ultraviolet/violet band around 393 nm while strongly reducing unwanted out-of-band light.
It is highly suitable for solar observation and astrophotography (specifically for isolating the Calcium K / Ca-K line to view the solar chromosphere), as well as specialized optical sensing systems requiring precise 393 nm detection. It helps precisely isolate the target Ca-K signal, deeply reduce broad background interference across the UV and near-infrared spectrum, and preserve high signal brightness for higher-contrast measurements.
Key specifications:
- Wavelength / main spec: 393 nm center wavelength (CWL)
- Bandwidth / transition spec: 2 nm FWHM
- Transmission / blocking: T > 90%; OD5 blocking from 200–1100 nm
- Format / availability: Available in 12.5 mm to 25 mm diameters (mounted and unmounted options)
