Machine Vision Filter
Machine vision filters are designed to transmit a selected wavelength band while reducing unwanted ambient and out-of-band light in industrial imaging setups.
Applications:
- LED and laser illumination cleanup for automated optical inspection (AOI) and robotics systems
- Contrast enhancement for inspecting, grading, and sorting materials (darkening or lightening specific features based on color)
- Detector-side signal isolation before industrial CMOS/CCD cameras or photodiodes
- Reduction of glare and ambient factory light interference to ensure consistent image capture
- Optical measurement setups where the target signal must be separated from background noise
Bandwidth options:
- 20nm FWHM for tight LED/laser signal isolation and maximum ambient background rejection
- 30nm and 40nm FWHM for balanced signal transmission, noise reduction, and accommodating LED wavelength shift over temperature
- 50nm and broader FWHM for high signal collection, broadband illumination, or wide-angle camera-side transmission
