This BP1540-12 bandpass filter is designed to transmit a narrow short-wave infrared (SWIR) band specifically centered at 1540 nm while strongly reducing unwanted out-of-band light.
Because 1540 nm is widely recognized as a critical "eye-safe" wavelength commonly used in Erbium-doped glass lasers and telecom applications, this filter is highly suitable for eye-safe laser rangefinders (LiDAR), free-space optical communications, and specialized SWIR machine vision. It helps precisely isolate the target 1540 nm laser or telecom signal, strongly reduce broad background interference across the near-infrared and SWIR spectrum, and preserve exceptionally high signal brightness for high-contrast, sensitive measurements.
Key specifications:
- Wavelength / main spec: 1540 nm center wavelength (CWL)
- Bandwidth / transition spec: 12 nm FWHM
- Transmission / blocking: T > 95%; OD4 blocking from 800–1750 nm
- Format / availability: Available in 12.5 mm to 25 mm diameters (mounted and unmounted options)
