This BP1555-90 bandpass filter is designed to transmit a short-wavelength infrared (SWIR) band centered at 1555 nm while strongly reducing unwanted out-of-band light.
Because the 1550 nm wavelength range is renowned for being "eye-safe" and highly transparent through the atmosphere, this filter is highly suitable for 1550 nm LiDAR systems (used in autonomous vehicles and 3D remote sensing), free-space optical communications, and specialized SWIR optical sensing systems. It helps precisely isolate the target SWIR laser or LED signal, deeply reduce broad background interference (such as solar radiation across the visible and near-infrared spectrum), and preserve exceptionally high signal brightness for high-contrast measurements.
