This BP1630-25 bandpass filter is designed to transmit a moderately narrow short-wave infrared (SWIR) band centered at 1630 nm while providing broad suppression of unwanted out-of-band light from the UV all the way into the mid-infrared.
With its exceptionally high transmission (>98%), this filter is highly suitable for SWIR machine vision, specialized gas sensing (such as serving as a reference channel for methane or hydrocarbon detection), industrial material sorting, and deep-tissue imaging or Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) operating in the extended SWIR window. It helps precisely isolate the target 1630 nm SWIR signal, effectively reduce broad ambient thermal and illumination background noise, and preserve maximum signal brightness for high-contrast, sensitive measurements.
