This filter set is primarily used for Fluorescence Microscopy in biological research.

Recommended Light Sources

High-Power LED (The Modern Standard)

Specification: A Red LED module with a peak around 630–640 nm.

Laser Lines (For Confocal / TIRF)

Specification: 633 nm (Helium-Neon) or 640 nm (Diode).

Broad Spectrum Lamps (Traditional)

Specification: Xenon Arc or Metal Halide lamps.

DEEP RED Filter Set for Cy5 - Low Autofluorescence

Low Autofluorescence

Biological tissues (like collagen or elastin) naturally fluoresce in the green and blue spectrum. The Deep Red channel is often the "cleanest" channel with the least background noise, making it ideal for thick tissue sections or samples with high background signal.

Recommended Light Sources

High-Power Red LED (~635 nm): It physically generates zero UV or Blue light. This guarantees that even if your excitation filter has a tiny pinhole or leak, you will not accidentally trigger the massive background noise from the tissue.
Red Laser (633 nm or 640 nm): When paired with a Confocal microscope, this allows you to image deep into the tissue while maintaining that "clean" low-background signal.
