This SPDM740 shortpass dichroic mirror is designed to transmit a broad range of visible light from 430–700 nm while reflecting near-infrared (NIR) and short-wave infrared (SWIR) wavelengths from 780–1500 nm.
It is suitable for hot-mirror applications, digital imaging, and laser systems where infrared heat or NIR laser lines (such as 808 nm, 980 nm, or 1064 nm) must be isolated from the visible optical path. It helps separate beams by wavelength, effectively allowing the visible spectrum to pass through to the sensor or eyepiece while reflecting longer infrared wavelengths with high efficiency.
