This Shortpass Dichroic Mirror (SO3060469) is designed to transmit a broad spectrum of visible light from 400–550 nm while reflecting longer visible and near-infrared wavelengths from 575–1100 nm with high efficiency.
It is suitable for fluorescence microscopy, machine vision, and laser beam steering where isolating the blue and green bands from yellow, red, and NIR light is required. It helps separate beams by wavelength, effectively allowing the shorter visible signals to pass through while reflecting unwanted heat (IR) or longer-wavelength excitation/emission light to improve signal-to-noise ratios.
Key specifications:
- Wavelength / main spec: Transmits 400–550 nm; Reflects 575–1100 nm
- Bandwidth / transition spec: Shortpass dichroic transition between 550 nm and 575 nm
- Transmission / blocking: T >95% (400–550 nm); R >99% (575–1100 nm)
- Format / custom option: Available in mounted or unmounted formats ranging from dia 12.5–50 mm, and rectangular plates from 25x36 mm to 35x52 mm

Product Faqs
What does a dichroic mirror do?
A dichroic mirror separates light by wavelength. It is designed to reflect one wavelength range while transmitting another wavelength range.
For example, a dichroic mirror may reflect a laser wavelength while transmitting a visible alignment beam, fluorescence signal, or another laser wavelength. The exact function depends on the reflection band, transmission band, and angle of incidence.
What angle of incidence should I use?
Most dichroic mirrors are designed for a specified angle of incidence, commonly 45°, unless otherwise stated.
Can this dichroic mirror be used to combine or separate laser beams?
Yes. Dichroic mirrors are commonly used for laser beam combining and beam separation when the wavelengths are different enough and the reflection/transmission bands match the system requirement.
For example, one wavelength may be reflected at 45°, while another wavelength passes through the mirror. Before ordering, please confirm the laser wavelengths, AOI, beam size, and required reflection/transmission performance.
