NIR Longpass Filter (Pass NIR, Block UV-VIS)
NIR longpass filters are designed to transmit near-infrared (NIR) wavelengths while blocking unwanted ultraviolet (UV) and visible (VIS) light.
Applications:
- Night imaging, security, and surveillance cameras using 850nm or 940nm infrared LEDs
- Machine vision and automated optical inspection (AOI) to eliminate ambient visible factory light
- Detector-side signal isolation before silicon CMOS/CCD sensors or InGaAs detectors
- LiDAR, time-of-flight (ToF), and 3D sensing systems operating in the NIR spectrum
- Biomedical sensing and spectroscopy where visible light interference must be eliminated
Cut-on wavelength options:
- 850nm, 875nm, and 900nm for standard infrared LED isolation and night vision applications
- 910nm, 940nm, and 950nm for stealth security illumination, remote controls, and moisture detection
- 975nm, 980nm, 1000nm, and 1040nm for specific Nd:YAG or diode laser isolation and telecom sensor testing
Select the cut-on wavelength based on the illumination source spectrum, target signal, detector sensitivity, blocking range, and required transmission level.
