This specialized filter set is designed for fluorophores excited by yellow-green light and emitting in the orange-red spectral region. The configuration uses a narrow excitation band for precise spectral isolation and a wide emission band for maximum signal collection. It is an excellent choice for imaging commonly used red fluorescent proteins, ensuring high-contrast imaging with low crosstalk.
Filter Specifications:
- Excitation Filter (Ex): Bandpass 545/25 nm (transmits light from 532.5 nm to 557.5 nm)
- Emission Filter (Em): Bandpass 605/70 nm (transmits light from 570 nm to 640 nm)
- Dichroic Mirror (DM): Reflects 450-550 nm / Transmits 570-700 nm
Intended for use with common orange-red emitting fluorophores such as:
- Tandem Red Fluorescent Proteins and their derivatives (e.g., proteins with Ex ≈ 554 nm, Em ≈ 581 nm)
- Rhodamine derivatives and spectrally similar dyes with excitation peaks near 550 nm
- Fluorescent proteins with emission in the 580-620 nm range
