Filter Sizing

If you purchased along with filter cube, the filters (Ex, Em, Dic) will be cut to the size can be fitted into the filter cube.

If only the Filters are purchased, it will coming with below sizes by default:

  • 36x25x1,1mm (unmounted, dichroic mirror)
  • dia25x3.5mm (mounted, emission filter)

Filter Cube Installation

If you purchased the Whole set of filters and Filter cube from us. All the filters will be installed inside the cube. You can put into your filter turrent and use it directly.

This specialized filter set is designed for fluorophores that are excited by ultraviolet (UV) or deep violet light and emit light in the blue spectral region (around 460 nm). The configuration uses a broad excitation band to capture light efficiently from UV sources (like the mercury arc lamp or 355 nm laser) and a wide blue emission band. This makes it ideal for highly sensitive imaging of nucleic acid stains and fluorescent probes with excitation maxima near 350 nm, providing clear contrast for visualizing cell nuclei and DNA.

Filter Specifications:

  • Excitation Filter (Ex): Bandpass 350/50 nm (transmits light from 325 nm to 375 nm)
  • Emission Filter (Em): Bandpass 460/50 nm (transmits light from 435 nm to 485 nm)
  • Dichroic Mirror (DM): Reflects 330-390 nm / Transmits 430-700 nm

Intended for use with common UV-excited, blue-emitting fluorophores such as:

  • Hoechst 33258
  • DAPI
  • Alexa Fluor 350
