Filter Sizing

If you purchased along with filter cube, the filters (Ex, Em, Dic) will be cut to the size can be fitted into the filter cube.

If only the Filters are purchased, it will coming with below sizes by default:

  • dia25x6mm (mounted, excitation filter)
  • 36x25x1,1mm (unmounted, dichroic mirror)
  • dia25x3.5mm (mounted, emission filter)

Filter Cube Installation

If you purchased the Whole set of filters and Filter cube from us. All the filters will be installed inside the cube. You can put into your filter turrent and use it directly.

This specialized filter set is designed for fluorophores that are excited by blue-green light (around 500 nm) and emit light in the yellow spectral region (around 535 nm). The configuration uses narrow bandpass filters for both excitation and emission, providing high spectral specificity and excellent resolution from other common green fluorophores. This makes it an ideal choice for imaging variants of Yellow Fluorescent Protein (YFP), particularly those engineered for FRET studies, as well as other spectrally similar yellow-emitting probes.

Filter Specifications:

  • Excitation Filter (Ex): Bandpass 500/20 nm (transmits light from 490 nm to 510 nm)
  • Emission Filter (Em): Bandpass 535/30 nm (transmits light from 520 nm to 550 nm)
  • Dichroic Mirror (DM): Reflects 480-505 nm / Transmits 520-650 nm

Intended for use with common blue-green-excited, yellow-emitting fluorophores such as:

  • Yellow Fluorescent Proteins (YFPs) and their enhanced variants (e.g., proteins with Ex approx 500 nm, Em approx 529 nm)
  • Spectrally similar yellow dyes and probes optimized for the 500 nm excitation range
  • Fluorescent reporters with emission peaks near 530-540 nm
