This specialized filter set is optimized for fluorophores that are excited by orange to red light and emit light in the deep red spectral region (around 670 nm). The configuration uses a broad excitation band, compatible with laser lines such as 633 nm and 635 nm, combined with a clean deep red emission band. This design provides highly specific spectral isolation, making it ideal for high-performance imaging of red-emitting fluorescent dyes and probes, often used in multiplex assays due to their separation from visible light fluorophores.

Filter Specifications:

  • Excitation Filter (Ex): Bandpass 605/50 nm (transmits light from 580 nm to 630 nm)
  • Emission Filter (Em): Bandpass 670/50 nm (transmits light from 645 nm to 695 nm)
  • Dichroic Mirror (DM): Reflects 550-620 nm / Transmits 645-750 nm

Intended for use with common red-excited, deep-red-emitting fluorophores such as:

  • Red-excited dyes and probes (e.g., probes with Ex approx 635 nm, Em approx 658 nm)
  • Deep-red organic dyes optimized for the 650-700 nm range
  • Spectrally similar fluorescent reporters used for applications requiring minimal autofluorescence
