Filter Sizing

If you purchased along with filter cube, the filters (Ex, Em, Dic) will be cut to the size can be fitted into the filter cube.

If only the Filters are purchased, it will coming with below sizes by default:

  • 36x25x1,1mm (unmounted, dichroic mirror)
  • dia25x3.5mm (mounted, emission filter)

This specialized filter set is optimized for fluorophores that are excited by green-yellow light (around 530 nm) and emit light in the orange spectral region (around 575 nm). The configuration uses a narrow excitation band, compatible with 532 nm and 543 nm laser lines, coupled with a narrow emission band for high spectral specificity. This makes it an ideal choice for quantitative PCR (qPCR) and multi-color microscopy applications using fluorescent dyes and probes that fluoresce in the 555-595 nm range. This filter set provides a clean signal with excellent separation from green and red channels.

Filter Specifications:

  • Excitation Filter (Ex): Bandpass 530/30 nm (transmits light from 515 nm to 545 nm)
  • Emission Filter (Em): Bandpass 575/40 nm (transmits light from 555 nm to 595 nm)
  • Dichroic Mirror (DM): Reflects 450-540 nm / Transmits 555-650 nm

Intended for use with common green-yellow-excited, orange-emitting fluorophores such as:

  • Orange fluorescent probes and related dyes (e.g., probes with Ex approx 525 nm, Em approx 548 nm)
  • Rhodamine derivatives and similar dyes with excitation peaks near 530 nm
  • Spectrally similar orange reporters used in various biological assays
