This specialized filter set is engineered for fluorophores that are excited by violet light (e.g., the 405 nm laser line) and emit light sharply in the short-wavelength blue spectral region (around 430 nm). The configuration uses narrow bandpass filters for both excitation and emission, providing high spectral specificity and excellent separation from longer-wavelength blue and cyan fluorophores. This design is highly effective for applications requiring multi-color analysis, such as flow cytometry and microscopy using violet-excitable fluorescent probes.
Filter Specifications:
- Excitation Filter (Ex): Bandpass 395/25 nm (transmits light from 382.5 nm to 407.5 nm)
- Emission Filter (Em): Bandpass 430/30 nm (transmits light from 415 nm to 445 nm)
- Dichroic Mirror (DM): Reflects 350-405 nm / Transmits 415-500 nm
Intended for use with common violet-excited, blue-emitting fluorophores such as:
- Violet-excitable fluorescent probes (e.g., probes with Ex approx 407 nm, Em approx 421 nm)
