This highly efficient filter set is optimized for fluorophores that are excited by red light (e.g., the 633 nm or 635 nm laser lines) and emit light broadly in the deep red to near-infrared (NIR) spectral region (around 700 nm). The configuration uses a broad excitation band to maximize energy absorption and a wide emission band to efficiently collect the red-shifted signal. This design is highly effective for high-sensitivity applications like quantitative Western blotting and multi-color imaging using far-red fluorescent dyes that fluoresce in the 665-735 nm range.
